Job description

As a LifeWise Classroom Assistant in the Columbus CityWide program, you will support the LifeWise teacher in the classroom and develop positive relationships with students. Your role is crucial to provide an engaging, meaningful and organized classroom experience.

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist the LifeWise teacher (as needed and directed)
   1. Gather, distribute, and organize supplies
   2. Make copies and prep activities
   3. Participate in class games, activities, and discussions
   4. Keep track of attendance records and other administrative tasks
2. Help with classroom management (as needed and directed)
   1. Support the LifeWise teacher with redirection for disruptive students
   2. Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
   3. Provide guidance for students during class activities, assignments, and transitions
   4. Serve students with special needs or those requiring extra support
3. Strive to model godly character
4. Display enthusiasm for lessons and activities
5. Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
6. Develop relationships with students
7. Chaperone children to and from their LifeWise classes (as needed)
8. Complete the Classroom Volunteer training
