Job description

We are Mora, a health-tech company located in Southern California.

Reversing Metabolic Diseases with Lifestyle Medicine. Metabolic disease caused by insulin resistance is responsible for millions of deaths by diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and more. The latest CDC estimates that there are over 100 million people in the US who are type 2 diabetic, or pre-diabetic.

Most of these cases are preventable and reversible through what the medical industry is calling lifestyle medicine—prescribed lifestyle changes which improve medical outcomes.

After our CEO saw the power of lifestyle medicine first-hand, we decided to build Mora, an application which helps people reverse their metabolic disease through key lifestyle changes. There's over 50 years of solid science in the field which supports our protocol, and our challenge is to solve the adherence problem.

If you're passionate about health, saving lives, and doing work that truly matters, then we encourage you to join Mora.

You are driven, an owner, a clear communicator, and have high standards. You will not do this work alone. You will be supported by some of the brightest, most passionate, and interesting people you've ever worked with.

Qualifications:

  1. Utilize coaching strategies and communication skills to solicit change and increase patients’ motivation and ability to change behavior and adopt a healthier lifestyle to prevent, manage, or reverse chronic disease.
  2. Continue to increase knowledge of lifestyle medicine.
  3. Agree to maintain all licenses required for your position & jurisdiction of practice. Costs for obtaining licenses will be covered by the company; however, you're required to be prompt in responding to actions needed regarding obtaining & maintaining licensing. Agree to be enrolled in group malpractice.
  4. Agree to be enrolled in different payers, Medicare, and Medicaid of states requested by the company.
  5. Work with an MD/DO or team of MD/DOs to run virtual group medical visits which includes starting notes, scribing notes during group visits, and helping run the group as decided between PA and physician.
  6. Have one-on-one visits with patients prior to group medical visits to verify medical information and prepare them for the group visit experience.
  7. Partake in monitoring group chat in the application, answering questions, and notifying the physician of concerns.
  8. Work collaboratively with the medical team and medical management to continually improve systems, workflows, knowledge base, etc.
  9. Remain certified.

A large percentage of our team is in the PST time zone, so it is important to overlap with PST for at least 4 hours each day.
