Job summary

Associa in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Lifestyle Director to lead community life enrichment for a 55+ active adult setting. This full-time role requires coordinating events, programs and communications to engage residents, manage budgets and foster partnerships with local organizations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in lifestyle program management, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task while supervising volunteers and staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Lifestyle Director or related event industry experience
• Experience creating flyers, newsletters, or marketing materials
• Available to work some nights, weekends and holidays
• Able to stay productive under stressful situations
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Be able to stand for extended periods
• Lift or move up to 25lbs
• Excellent communication skills
• Team leader qualities

Responsibilities

• Develop, promote and execute a full range of events, activities, classes, sports, healthy living programs and fitness opportunities
• Implement a comprehensive communications plan
• Build partnerships and sponsorships with local businesses and organizations
• Recruit and organize volunteers
• Oversee and schedule facilities
• Maintain a community website
• Develop a community newsletter
• Manage program budgets
• Serve as a resource for homeowners
• Oversee Resident Club Operations
