Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is seeking a creative, high-energy Lifestyle Director to plan and implement engaging resident activities across independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in senior housing or event planning preferred.
• Degree or certification in gerontological studies, recreation, or related program.
• Affinity toward senior adults.
• Excellent organization and customer service skills.
• Great written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement resident activities according to residents' needs.
• Maintain the monthly activities calendar and assist Marketing Director with the community newsletter.
• Coordinate resident transportation for activities, shopping, and doctor visits.
• Assist with new move-ins and conduct new resident orientations.
• Establish and coordinate the Community Resident Council and attend all meetings.
• Supervise and operate the community store.
• Listen and respond to resident problems, complaints, and suggestions regarding activities.
• Coordinate use of all volunteers.
• Document history of the community with photographs and scrapbooks.
• Operate activities within budget.
• Serve as MOD as assigned and perform other duties as assigned by management team.

How You Will Make a Difference

What We Are Looking For

• Degree or certification in gerontological studies, recreation, or related program

• Great communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• Must possess or be willing to acquire a valid driver's license and Commercial Drivers License where necessary.
• Required to work some evenings and weekends for special events
