Job summary

CCMC, a large-scale community management company, seeks an energetic Event Coordinator to help plan and execute a calendar of resident events and programs. You will collaborate with the Lifestyle Director to organize recreational activities and special events, often on weekends and evenings.

The role requires 1–2 years in event planning or related fields, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while building strong resident and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or related fields.
  • Be professional and energetic.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with Board, team, residents, volunteers and contractors.
  • Strong conflict resolution and people skills.
  • Organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and current vehicle liability insurance.
  • This is not an 8-5 desk job; must be available for flexible hours including some nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Coordinate scheduling, setup and cleanup with Maintenance, Janitorial and staff.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for residents for party/meeting planning, catering and entertainment resources.
  • Assist with phones, walk-ins and other administrative duties.

About the community:

This master-planned community will be of one of the largest communities in the state at buildout. It is built around connectivity, community, and sustainability. Members, guests, and staff enjoy several amenities, including a multi-acre lagoon with a white-sand shoreline, an outdoor pool and spa, a rooftop deck, and miles of riding trails for walking, biking, scooters, and golf carts. It is a place where you will find the best of everything that the area has to offer. It will feature residences, shopping, dining, entertainment, commercial, retail, hospitality, and recreation.

In this crucial role, you’ll work collaboratively with the Lifestyle Director in planning and implementing recreational activities and special events for the community. Many events are held on weekends and evenings.

What you’ll accomplish:
  • Assist in the planning, promoting and executing of a comprehensive community event and programming calendar for residents

  • Coordinate scheduling, set-up, and clean-up with Maintenance, Janitorial and staff
  • Serve as the go-to resource for residents in party and meeting planning by providing room scheduling and event information, as well as catering and entertainment resources
  • Assist with phones, walk-ins and perform other administrative duties
What we’re looking for:
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience
  • Be professional and energetic
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writingAble to establish and maintain good working relationships with Board, team, residents, volunteers, and contractors
  • Possess strong conflict resolution and excellent “people” skills
  • Organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, a willingness to work independently, and participate as part of a team
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and current vehicle liability insurance.
  • This is not an 8-5, Monday-Friday desk job. Qualified candidates must be able to work full-time hours that are flexible and will include some nights, weekends and holidays
  • All prospective employees must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.

The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:

  • Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Driving: Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
