Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in academic and life skills development; support classroom activities.
• Reinforce behavior per teacher plan and ARD guidelines; aid in discipline as planned.
• Assist in guiding individual or groups of students in daily activities and monitor hygiene and behavior.
• Supervise small groups of students in community settings.
• Contribute to a positive school climate through encouragement and example.
• Provide personal care assistance as needed for students with severe handicaps.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene of equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate CCISD core values in daily interactions.
• Stay up-to-date professionally through professional learning opportunities.
• Respect district policy and practices before taking action.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet school goals.
