Job description

Camp Lokanda is currently looking for lifeguards to be a part of our waterfront staff. Lifeguards work as a team at our various water areas including 2 pools, lakefront boating/beach area, waterpark with inflatables as well as our off-site waterski program.

Our lifeguards are at camp from June 16, 2025 to August 16, 2025.

Applicants should be lifeguard certified or have significant experience swimming and/or teaching swim lessons. As part of the orientationprogram, all of our lifeguards will participate in the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificationprogram.

Camp Lokanda is one of the premier camps on the eastern coast of the United States. We are located in upstate New York, set in the amazing Catskill Mountains, on Lake Loch Ada, from which we named our camp. We have been around for over 80 years. We are a co-ed traditional sleep-away camp and have about 450 campers, ranging from ages 7 to 16. To look after so many campers, we invite 250 staff to join us from all over the world.
