$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Job Description
The Set Medics seeks experienced lifeguards and water safety professionals to join our roster for on-set production work in Palm Springs and Coachella Valley, CA. From pool scenes to coastal shoots, you’ll ensure water-related safety for cast and crew during filming across various projects, including film, television, streaming, and commercial productions.
This role requires excellent rescue skills, sharp situational awareness, and a calm, proactive approach in dynamic filming environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee water safety during production shoots involving pools, beaches, and other aquatic environments.
  • Remain vigilant during filming to prevent incidents and ensure safe water practices.
  • Respond immediately to water-related emergencies, including rescues and first aid for minor injuries (e.g., cuts, scrapes, stings).
  • Maintain and bring the required safety gear to the set, including a lifeguard-red rescue tube and basic first-aid supplies.
  • Collaborate with production teams and Set Medics to assess risks, enforce safety protocols, and support scene planning.
  • Document and report any incidents in accordance with company policy and industry standards.
  • Support general on-set health and safety guidance (hydration, sun exposure, etc.).
Qualifications
  • Valid Lifeguard Certification, including CPR and First Aid.
  • Must own a lifeguard rescue tube and basic first aid pack for minor scrapes and cuts.
  • EMT or higher medical certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum 2 years of water safety or lifeguarding experience.
  • Previous work on film or TV sets or events is a strong plus.
  • Must be professional, alert, and focused during long observation periods.
