The Beach Pool & Tennis Club in Potomac, MD is seeking lifeguards and certified pool operators for the summer season. You will help ensure a safe, welcoming pool environment and support club operations during busy days.

Qualifications

• Valid lifeguard certification from Red Cross/ YMCA or equivalent.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety rules to maintain a secure swimming environment.
• Vigilantly scan the pool area and surrounding spaces.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including water rescues and first aid.
• Communicate effectively with members to create a friendly, welcoming experience.
• Work collaboratively with team members to keep operations organized and efficient.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining locker room areas.

We are a professional, dynamic sports club located in Potomac, MD, dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and energetic environment for our members. As we gear up for the summer season, we are looking for motivated and responsible individuals to join our team as lifeguards or certified pool operators.

Pay: $17.45 – $25.00 per hour Dates: Memorial Day through Labor Day (May 24th – September 1st) Location: The Beach Pool and Tennis Club - 10200 Gainsborough Rd, Potomac, MD

Position Overview

As a lifeguard/certified pool operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool guests while contributing to a positive club atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety rules to maintain a secure swimming environment
• Vigilantly scan the pool area and surrounding spaces
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including water rescues and first aid
• Communicate effectively with members to create a friendly, welcoming experience

Requirements

• Valid lifeguard/pool operator certification (Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent)

• Previous lifeguard experience is a plus
