Job description

Cranberry Township Parks and Recreation is seeking applicants for part-time seasonal Lifeguard positions at the Cranberry Township Waterpark. This position offers flexible work schedules and competitive wages, beginning at $14/hour.

This position is responsible for overseeing the Waterpark and ensuring the safety of the patrons in the swimming area. Applicants must be a minimum of 15 years of age and hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or be able to provide one by the completion of all Waterpark specific lifeguard training. Applicants must obtain background clearances required under the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law upon hire. Related experience a plus. Staffing limits will be determined by returning staff.

An American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification program, including classes, training and testing may be offered through the Parks and Recreation Department prior to start of the 2024 Waterpark season. Costs associated with the program are the responsibility of the individual and are not paid for or reimbursed by the Township. Applicants without a current certification may apply for a lifeguard position but must be able to provide one by the completion of all Waterpark specific lifeguard training.
