Job summary

Joint Region Marianas seeks qualified lifeguards for multiple facilities at Andersen AFB Guam and Naval Base Guam. You will supervise swimmers, perform rescues, and administer CPR/First Aid while ensuring safe water and chemical conditions.

Enroll in required certifications, pass background checks, and meet agility tests. Positions open continuously to build an Applicant Supply File; training and protective equipment are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Must be able to work varied schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to handle hazardous and biohazardous materials (e.g., pool chemicals).
• Must pass a background investigation (NACI) and renewal every 5 years.
• Must pass an initial and recurrent physical agility test.
• Must maintain Lifeguard Training Certification, CPR, First Aid (AED) and Blood Borne Pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Perform all pool and waterfront lifeguard duties: supervise swimmers, monitor conditions, enforce safety rules, perform water rescues as needed.
• Render CPR and emergency first aid; notify medical services as required.
• Conduct and document pool chemical testing (chlorine and pH); adjust as directed.
• Document marine life, water conditions, and weather; operate rescue vehicles when needed.
• Maintain safety through flag systems, reporting hazards and assisting patrons as necessary.
• A complete list of duties will be provided at time of hire.
