Lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor

$16.00 to $25.00 per hour

Summary of Responsibilities

St. Louis Park is seeking Certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors to join our swim program. We offer lessons for all ages and abilities, open swim times, private swim lessons, and group rentals. Ideal candidates are energetic, reliable, responsible, and possess strong communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for patrons.
• Ensure pool security.
• Perform rescues when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Effective communication with students and adults.
• Punctuality.
• Ability to interact well with the public.

Physical Demands

The physical demands include sitting, using hands and feeling, talking, and hearing regularly. Standing, walking, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 10 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close focus and adjustable focus.

Education and/or Experience

• Red Cross WSI Certification or Lifeguard Certification
