Lifeguard | Walnut Creek Family YMCA

Position Summary:

As a Lifeguard, you will provide a safe environment for swimming, learning, and recreation. Your responsibilities include maintaining safety in the pool and surrounding areas, enforcing rules, and building positive relationships with patrons.

Qualifications:

Must be certified in lifeguarding. If not certified, a training course will be held on June 7-9, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Job Details:

• Location: Walnut Creek Family YMCA
• Shifts: Various shifts available, including weekdays and weekends
• Pay Rate: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

1. Enforce safety rules and procedures
2. Maintain a hazards-free pool area
3. Constantly monitor pool and deck areas
4. Handle safety equipment and record chemical readings
5. Follow emergency procedures and respond appropriately
