Essential Responsibilities:

• Monitor swimmers in water attractions
• Respond quickly to emergencies to ensure guest safety
• Assist guests with rides and maintain line flow
• Maintain cleanliness of ride areas

Payrate: $13.00-$16.00/hr

How You Will Do It:

• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Complete Ellis and Associates training and certification
• Pass ride certification tests
• Understand rescue techniques, first aid, and CPR
• Be attentive to safety details
• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude
• React effectively in emergency situations

Note: 15-year-olds can become Shallow Guards per Ellis & Associates guidelines. To earn the $16/hr rate and special facilities certification, candidates must be 18 or older.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be 15 years or older
• Ability to swim 200 yards in 15 minutes, retrieve a 10-pound brick, tread water for 2 minutes, and exit the pool independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
