Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General’s Stow Health and Wellness Center is hiring a Lifeguard to join a team focused on safety, fitness and community wellness. You will monitor pool areas, enforce rules, perform daily maintenance, and provide water safety instruction when appropriate.

The role offers part-time hours with potential for advancement, requiring current lifeguard, first aid and CPR/AED certifications, strong observation skills and a commitment to member safety and service.

Qualifications

• High School Education required.
• Current nationally recognized Lifeguard Training and First Aid certifications.
• Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Ensure pool area safety and sanitation.
• Maintain certifications and knowledge of Emergency Action Plan.
• Perform preventive lifeguard duties during open swim.
• Enforce rules to prevent injuries.
• Attend mandatory in-services.
