Job summary

Ability360 in Phoenix is seeking a dedicated lifeguard for a summer program at City of Phoenix facilities. You will monitor patrons, respond to emergencies, and uphold pool safety rules while delivering friendly customer service.

The role is outdoor, seasonal, with morning sessions. You will assist with maintenance, report writing, and coordination with staff. Lifeguard certification, CPR, and First Aid are required or provided by Ability360.

Qualifications

• Must be able to swim and pass lifeguard certification; Ability360 will certify if strong swim skills.
• Criminal background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons and secure safety in emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival.
• Maintain professional appearance and high standard of customer service.
• Perform pool area and locker room maintenance and cleaning.
• Open and close pool area.
• Be proficient with pool safety equipment.
• Follow rules and regulations as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare and maintain activity reports.
• Communicate with members and guests; report equipment issues.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
