Lifeguard & Swim Instructor (Fox West YMCA) (Security)


The Fox West YMCA is hiring for the shared role of a Lifeguard & Swim Instructor. Variety is the spice of life, even with water! While wearing your lifeguard whistle, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety of the swim participants, watching the deck & pool, and ensuring a safe pool space. Lifeguard Certification Training may be available after employment commitment and availability to work within the department. While wearing your instructor's (swim) suit, you will use an established curriculum to teach swim techniques, strokes, and water safety to participants of a variety of ages - infant through adult.

This is a part-time position requiring 20-29 hours per week. Premium pay is offered when you guard between 4:30-8:00 AM and/or work over 25 hours a week within the Aquatics department.
