Job summary

Swim Gowanus, LLC is hiring a Lifeguard / Swim Instructor to help ensure patron safety, provide a Golden Experience for students, families, and staff, and support our mission to teach kids to swim.

Under general supervision you will maintain constant surveillance, enforce rules, deliver emergency care, assist with cross-training, and participate in paid training while contributing to a motivating, upbeat team culture in a new facility.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard and CPR certifications.
• Ability to work with children.
• Leadership or teaching experience preferred (supervisory roles).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Vaccination proof required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of an accident or emergency.
• Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently.
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Ensures that medical services are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency.
• Advance through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary.
• Provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members

Role: Lifeguard / Swim Instructor

Summary

Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of Swim Gowanus, LLC by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Job Qualifications and Skills

• Must have current Lifeguard and CPR certifications.
• Ability to work with children
• Prior related leadership and teaching experience is preferred (supervisory roles)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to provide proof of vaccination

Summerlin Aquatics LLC is a learn‑to‑swim facility for kids ages 4 months to 12 years. Our proven confidence‑building curriculum promotes a love of swimming and teaches children to be safer in and around the water.
