Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of one year's experience in aquatic recreational activities with a minimum of one year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current nationally recognized certification: Lifeguard training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent, Standard First Aid or equivalent.
  • Current or able to obtain within 6 months of hire a nationally recognized certification as a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of pool water chemistry and ability to use equipment to take pool readings.
  • Ability to use and perform maintenance of pool equipment.
  • Understanding of and the ability to enforce safety regulations to ensure protection of swimmers.
  • Must pass an initial and recurrent physical ability test.
  • Must obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks, required for positions working with children under 18.
