Description

A Candlewood lifeguard monitors pool activities and ensures patron safety. Lifeguards need to possess knowledge of rescue and emergency medical procedures. To help prevent incidents, lifeguards must enforce all safety guidelines as outlined by the facility. To ensure safety, lifeguards must remain alert throughout an entire shift. To gain a Candlewood lifeguard job, an applicant must hold valid lifeguard and CPR certifications. Classes are available for those who need certification. Additional duties include preparing activity reports, incident reports, and performing daily pool maintenance.
