Labette Health's Rehab Services department is seeking a qualified lifeguard to support aquatic therapy sessions and fitness classes. You will help ensure the health, welfare and safety of patients, members and staff using the pools.

Responsibilities include observing pool users, enforcing regulations, guarding lives, and preventing accidents. You may clean pools, monitor pool chemicals, and work with pool chemicals.

Qualifications

• Must possess ability to recognize hazardous situations and communicate with the public.
• High school diploma preferred; current Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification; current First Aid and Basic Life Support skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team under supervision and follow instructions.

• Education Requirements:** Evidence of being able to work as a member

of a team, under close supervision and follow instructions needed, and completion of on the job training required. High school diploma is preferred. Current certification through Red Cross Lifeguard Training and current first aid and basic life support skills. Must possess knowledge of water hazards, lifesaving techniques, ability to recognize hazardous situations and ability to positively communicate and engage positively with the public.
