Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Lifeguard to enforce pool rules, rescue swimmers in danger, provide first aid, and maintain water quality. The role requires lifeguard duties and safety-focused responsibilities within a healthcare setting.

Qualified candidates hold American Red Cross CPR‑AED and Lifeguarding certifications, plus Swim Instructor credentials and the ability to handle physical tasks, with comprehensive benefits and wellness programs offered to staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• Lifeguard certification: American Red Cross CPR‑AED and Lifeguarding within 7 days of hire.
• Swim Instructor certification: American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Starfish Aquatics Institute Swim Instructor within one month of hire.
• Must be proficient in swimming skills covered in Swim Instructor training.
• Physical fitness: regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move over 150 pounds.
