Qualifications

• Must hold current lifeguarding certification and related safety trainings.
• Pass swim and skills test annually and maintain certifications.
• Complete required YMCA trainings within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision and maintains high safety standards during swims.
• Role model all aspects of the YMCA pledge and safety.
• Ensure a nurturing, safe environment and report suspicious activity.
• Follow opening and closing procedures and maintain deck cleanliness.
• Administer first aid and know all emergency procedures.
