Job summary

Universal Kids Resort is seeking a dedicated lifeguard to oversee guest safety at the onsite hotel pool (water up to four feet). You will monitor swimmers, enforce safety rules, and assist families with a playful, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing pool operations, performing daily safety checks, maintaining Red Cross certifications, and coordinating with Front Office Operations and Housekeeping to ensure a seamless pool experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Comfortable in and around water for entire shift.
• Must complete required swim test and maintain American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Must distinguish hand signals at a distance of up to 50 feet.
• Attendance is a job requirement.
• Ability to respond to and assist guests in distress.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the proper use of safety practices and procedures for Guests within the onsite hotel pool and pool areas.
• Manages the opening and closing procedures of the pool operations and sharing safety instructions as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment by monitoring the area and keeping the area free of debris.
• Performs daily safety checks of pool area for potential hazards.
• Maintains all certifications and training required to comply with the American Red Cross certification program.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following UDX policy and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
