The department offers a wide range of recreational activities and wellbeing services, managing 15 of the university's recreational and athletic facilities for various recreational, competitive, and event purposes.
Position Summary:
This role involves ensuring the safety of patrons in an aquatic facility. Responsibilities include monitoring swimming areas to prevent accidents, providing first aid and CPR as needed, instructing individuals and groups in swimming and water safety, and maintaining pool sanitation and safety procedures. The incumbent may also recommend safety procedures, enforce rules, and assist with pool maintenance. The position requires work during weekends, evenings, holidays, and possibly traveling between multiple pool sites. The appointment is temporary, renewable annually.
