FLSA: Non-Exempt
Department: Recreation
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Aquatic Manager, Aquatic Supervisor, Assistant Aquatic Manager, Site Specific Pool Manager
Supervises: N/A
BASIC FUNCTION
Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring patron safety in the Aquatic Facility by preventing and responding to emergencies.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Some High School education
Experience: No prior experience required.
15 years of age or older - Mystic Waters Family Aquatic Center
16 years of age or older - Prairie Lakes Aquatic Center, Chippewa Pool, & Arndt Park Pool
Certifications: Starguard Elite Lifeguard including lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid training.
Additional training in aquatics, CPR, and first aid is encouraged, but not required.
