Job description

Overview

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for year-round Lifeguards at the YMCA.

Salary range: $16.50-$18.50/hour based on experience. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities
  • Advocate for the safety and wellbeing of our members and guests, and keep our Y's pool a friendly, welcoming environment for all to play, learn and build confidence in the water.
  • Ensure the safety of participants while they are in or near the pool or hot tub
  • General maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, water testing and general problem-solving
  • Relate positively to a variety of people including other staff, members, program participants, and children
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 16 years of age. If you are 15 please apply as a Junior Lifeguard
  • Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, Emergency Oxygen and CPR-PR Certifications
  • Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful
  • Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of being hired
