Lifeguard - Lake St. George State Park - Seasonal (11 Weeks) - 1401

Join us as a Lifeguard at Lake St. George State Park, Maine, for the summer season (approximately June 8 to August 23, 2025). This is a full-time, seasonal position with the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry.

Responsibilities

Protective services work at state park beaches, ensuring visitor safety at swimming facilities. Recognize potential hazards and take corrective actions to prevent accidents or drownings. Work under supervision with established rules and guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Successful completion of Lifeguard Competency Test
Licensing & Training Requirements

Possession of valid Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications, and completion of the Lifeguard Academy are required prior to attaining permanent status.

Additional Information
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Housing is provided at specific parks; most positions require working 40 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Uniforms are provided.
