Qualifications

• Must possess a lifeguard training credential including CPR and first aid.

Job description

SUMMARY This position is responsible for supervising designated swimming areas, maintaining constant surveillance to ensure the safety of swimmers in all areas of the pool and water park including pools, slides, and water play areas.

JOB DUTIES

1. Completes daily safety checks.
2. Provides highest standard of customer services to all guests and teammates.
3. Inspects and maintains slides, pools and rescue equipment daily.
4. Attends training sessions and in-services as required.
5. Enforces all water park policies and procedures.
6. Prevents guest injury through proactive safety communication.
7. Recognizes and prevents potential accident situations.
8. Rescues guests showing signs of distress and administers first aid as necessary.
9. Performs job duties safely and effectively in compliance with waterpark policies, procedures, and employee manual.
10. Adheres to waterpark dress code.
11. Has knowledge of park and campus events and responds to guest inquiry as appropriate.
12. Assists with janitorial, maintenance or office work as needed.
13. Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
14. Works collaboratively in a team environment in the spirit of cooperation and continually improving the waterpark.
15. Respectfully takes direction from manager.
16. Other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND/OR REGISTRATIONS

Must have Ellis and Associates Special Facilities Lifeguard Training Credential (CPR/Oxygen Administration/AED is included in this certificate).

Must be at least 16 years of age or older to apply for this position.
