Job summary

The Town of Branford is seeking Lifeguards to supervise both indoor and outdoor pools under supervision. You will monitor activity, enforce safety rules, respond to emergencies, and provide proactive pool-area monitoring to protect guests.

Requirements include Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications, excellent communication with children and adults, and the ability to work as part of a team. Position is on-site with training commitments.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification required.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required.
• Strong aquatic skills and proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
• Team player capable of working with others.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and pool areas to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
• Attend mandatory in-service training sessions.
• Respond quickly to emergencies including water rescues and first aid.
• Administer CPR, AED and first aid as needed.
• Enforce pool policies while providing high level customer service.
• Work indoors and outdoors and adapt to weather conditions.
