Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a Lifeguard I at the Kroc Center Hawaii in Ewa Beach, HI. The role ensures guest safety, performs rescues, administers first aid, and assists with daily pool operations to maintain a clean, welcoming facility for members and guests.

The Lifeguard I must be certified (ARC Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR), and may require a work permit for minors. This is a part-time, on-call hourly position with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• ARC Lifeguard Training Certification, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
• A child labor certificate or work permit is required for minors under 18.
• Any equivalent combination of training/education will be accepted in lieu of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide all lifeguarding services and respond to emergencies, administering CPR/First Aid as needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive experience for guests.
• Maintain swimming and rescue skills through conditioning swims and training sessions.
• Help keep pool area, locker rooms and facility clean and orderly.
• Enforce pool rules and safety protocols; follow emergency action plans.
• Observe, document, and report safety issues to supervisors.
