Piedmont is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the founding lifeguard team at its stunning new community pool. This year-round facility offers a beautiful setting, with programs for every swimmer.

The Lifeguard I position is ideal for newly certified individuals looking to gain experience while enjoying a flexible schedule of 5-15 hours per week. Starting pay is $19.50/hour, increasing to $22/hour with annual raises.

Qualifications

• Must be 15+ years old and completed 9th grade.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification required.
• Must obtain Title 22 within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and prevent incidents.
• Enforce safety rules.
• Support swim programs and special events.
• Assist with pool deck setup and maintenance.

STARTING PAY: $19.50/hour (up to $22/hour with annual raises)

SCHEDULES: Flexible schedules of 5-15 hours/week (up to 20)

What you'll do:

• Monitor swimmers, prevent incidents, and respond quickly in emergencies
• Enforce safety rules and keep the pool environment welcoming
• Support lap swim, family swim, lessons, team practices, swim camps, and special events
• Assist with opening, closing, and pool deck setup

Requirements:

• 15+ years old and completed 9th grade (work permit if under 18)
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (CPR/First Aid/AED)
• Title 22 (First Aid for Public Safety Personnel) within 6 months of hire
