Job summary

The City and County of Denver, Parks and Recreation, is seeking year-round Lifeguards to work across a variety of recreation centers. This on-call, part-time role offers flexible scheduling around class schedules and other life commitments, with opportunities to work at indoor and outdoor pools.

Starting pay is $19.29/hour for year-round shifts. Applicants must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification or enroll in a free training course provided by DPR prior to

Responsibilities

• Perform critical public safety duties related to the operation of Denver's municipal pools, including supervising swimming areas, enforcing rules, and responding to emergencies.
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to pool visitors.
• Perform regular upkeep and cleaning of pool spaces and equipment.
• Teach swimming lessons.
• Provide recreation center front desk assistance or other facility operations support, as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
