The Central Branch YMCA in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time lifeguard to help maintain a safe pool environment and deliver excellent aquatic services. The role emphasizes vigilant supervision, emergency readiness, and friendly member support.

You will enforce pool rules, keep the pool area clean and safe, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Ideal candidates are 16+, have strong communication skills, reliable transportation, and can work both weekdays and weekends.

Formación

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work weekday and weekend hours.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to relate to and communicate with diverse groups.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure safe, clean, and secure conditions for the indoor pool and surrounding areas.
• Enforce all aquatics rules and policies fairly and consistently.
