Lifeguard - Flax Pond Summer Adventure Camp

15+ starting pay $20.00 per hour. Required certifications are reimbursed upon successful completion of course. Lifeguards are responsible for patrolling the beachfront and swimming area, setting up lifeguard and beach equipment while supervising kids and other staff. They provide rescue to swimmers in trouble and, where necessary, apply first aid. Participation in required paid training and workouts throughout the season is also expected.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: a minimum of one year’s experience in oceanfront beach guarding preferred. Current Lifeguarding Certificate (Including Deepwater) with CPR/AED for professional rescuers, first aid, and waterfront skills or equivalent certifications. Experience working with youth is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
Work of this class is active. Incumbent performs daily responsibilities by walking and standing for substantial periods of time. Incumbent is expected to maintain good physical condition. Incumbent is exposed to varying weather conditions and is expected to be able to lift heavy objects (circa 40 lbs.). Applicants must pass a CORI and SORI background check.
