Job summary

Lima Community Aquatic Park, operated by LCA SFM, LLC, is seeking a part-time lifeguard to ensure guest safety in and around the pool area. This role requires vigilance, strong communication, and the ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities include enforcing pool rules, supervising swimmers, responding to injuries or emergencies, providing first aid when needed, and assisting with general park operations and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Deep Water Lifeguard Training certification (American Red Cross) or ability to complete training within 30 days of hire.
• First Aid and CPR/AED for Lifeguards certification or ability to obtain soon after hire.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all pool rules.
• Provide patron surveillance whenever patrons swim.
• Respond to injuries, accidents, and emergencies.
• Arrive on time and maintain reliability.
• Instruct swimming and water safety to various ages.
• Perform cleaning duties and attend in-service trainings.
• Offer courteous guest service and assist with information needs.
• Operate ticket sales booth and handle cash.
• Know facility programs, pricing, and meeting dates/times.
• Enforce venue policies and maintain guest confidentiality.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate as needed.
• Maintain a clean space and conduct routine walk-throughs.
• Supervise and enforce rules during events.
• Complete special projects and daily assignments.
