Job summary

Asphalt Green is seeking responsible lifeguards to join our Aquatics team on a part-time, in-person basis at our Upper East Side and Battery Park City facilities. You will monitor pool activity, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, and help maintain a welcoming, safe environment for members, participants, and guests.

• Current lifeguard certification from a recognized body.
• Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Strong swimming skills and physical endurance.
• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and responsive during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas.
• Identify unsafe behavior and enforce facility rules.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and provide first aid when needed.
• Communicate clearly with patrons, staff, and management.
• Work collaboratively with lifeguards and aquatics staff.
