Job summary

Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park is seeking a Lifeguard. The role emphasizes enforcing aquatic safety rules, preventing incidents, and responding to emergencies. Training for Lifeguard Certification is provided by Splash Lagoon, with opportunities to work in a busy water park environment.

Candidates must be at least 16, pass a swim test, and demonstrate strong eye-hand coordination, teamwork and clear communication with guests and staff. Active presence to ensure guest safety is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a swim test.
• Knowledge of aquatic industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication with the public, guests and staff.
• Positive, firm and courteous demeanor.
• Ability to activate and follow the EAP system in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Enforce rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Deter incidents and respond to emergencies.
• Assess pool and swimmer conditions.
• Maintain readiness with 10/20 protection rule awareness.
• Provide professional rescuer CPR and basic life support.
• Protect personal safety and follow ILTP CARMP guidelines.
