Job summary

Candidates should hold current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications and be prepared for varied schedules as required by the recreation program.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of pool safety and enforce pool rules.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain professional relationships.
• Must pass safety and pool procedure tests, including CPR reviews and backboard drills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise swimmers in and around the pool.
• Teach swim lessons to children and adults.
• Perform rescues and administer first aid.
• Facilitate special events and assist with light maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of temperature, chemical levels, and attendance.
