Join our team this summer at High Sierra Pools! We are currently hiring lifeguards, pool managers, and area lifeguards to join our Chesapeake team. Our certified lifeguards earn some of the highest rates in the industry.

If you have good swimming skills and want a fun summer job where you can make a difference, this is the role for you. Flexible schedules are available, including full-time, part-time, and weekend-only shifts.

Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the pool according to schedule
• Regularly maintaining the pool's chemical levels
• Monitoring the pool area for safety issues
• Directing swimmers in dangerous conditions
• Watching weather reports to ensure guest safety
• Organizing and overseeing pool parties
• Providing swim lessons and coaching swim teams if applicable
• Keeping the pool environment clean

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certificates
• Minimum age of 16 years
• At least 2 years of lifeguard experience
• Current ARC certification
• Completion of Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding certification course
• Positive attitude and willingness to help others
• Dependability and reliability
• Ability to pass a pre-employment in-water skills test
• Experience coaching swim teams and teaching swimming lessons
• Ability to pass background check and drug test if required
