Join Our Team as a Lifeguard in Carrollton, Virginia

High Sierra Pools, Inc. is hiring lifeguards, pool managers, and area lifeguards for the summer season in Carrollton. We offer some of the highest pay rates in the industry for certified lifeguards!

If you have good swimming skills and want a fun summer job that makes a difference in your community, consider joining us. We offer flexible schedules, including full-time, part-time, and weekend-only shifts.

Lifeguard Responsibilities
  • Open and close the pool daily as scheduled
  • Maintain proper chemical levels in the pool
  • Monitor the pool area for safety issues
  • Assist swimmers in dangerous situations
  • Keep informed about weather conditions to ensure safety
  • Organize and oversee pool parties
  • Provide swim lessons and coach swim teams when applicable
  • Keep the pool environment clean
Qualifications
  • Valid Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications
  • At least 16 years old
  • Two or more years of lifeguarding experience
  • Current ARC certification
  • Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding certification
  • Positive attitude, dependable, and reliable
  • Pass a pre-employment in-water skills test
  • Experience coaching swim teams and teaching lessons is a plus
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test if required
