Join our team this summer at High Sierra Pools! We are seeking lifeguards, pool managers, and area lifeguards to join our Annandale team. Our certified lifeguards earn some of the highest rates in the industry!

If you have good swimming skills and want a fun summer job that makes a difference in your community, this is the opportunity for you. We offer flexible summer/seasonal schedules, including full-time, part-time, and weekend-only shifts.

Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities

1. Opening and closing the pool daily as per schedule
2. Maintaining proper chemical levels in the pool
3. Monitoring the pool area for safety issues
4. Rescuing swimmers in dangerous situations
5. Watching weather reports to ensure guest safety
6. Organizing and supervising pool parties
7. Providing swim lessons and coaching swim teams when applicable
8. Keeping the pool environment clean

Lifeguard Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certificates
• Minimum age of 16
• At least two years of lifeguard experience
• Current ARC certification
• Lifeguarding or Shallow Water lifeguarding certification
• Positive attitude and willingness to help others
• Dependability and reliability
• Successful completion of a pre-employment in-water skills test
• Experience coaching swim teams and teaching lessons
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests if required
