The City of Cincinnati recreation department is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure safety, supervision and discipline for all users of waterpark facilities. Candidates must hold American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED certifications.
You must be 15 years of age or older, willing to work non-standard hours, and able to pass annual water skills reviews and on-site pool training. ACE substitutions may apply for military education/experience.
Responsible for the safety, supervision and discipline of all persons using deep or shallow waterpool facilities. Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training / First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED certifications. Administration of Emergency Oxygen and Waterpark Lifeguard certifications preferred. Works under direct supervision of Pool Manager or Head Lifeguard. Must be willing to work other than normal work hours, and be available to work as scheduled based upon the need of the department. Must successfully pass annual lifeguard water skills review test, attend pre-season training, on-site pool training. Must be 15 years of age or older. Must wear Department of Recreation staff wear and maintain a clean appearance and positive demeanor.
