The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District in New York is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure safety in and around the school district pool. Responsibilities include monitoring and supervising pool activities, enforcing rules, providing first aid when necessary, and fostering a welcoming environment.
Applicants must have current CPR certification, Lifeguard certification, and fingerprint clearance from New York State. This position requires a reliable individual who thrives in a community-oriented atmosphere and demonstrates effective communication skills.

Reports to: Director of Swimming Pools
The lifeguard will have the primary responsibility of ensuring a safe environment for all participants in and around the school district pool.
The Lifeguard will create an environment where students, faculty, staff, administration, and community members are safe by ensuring continuous pool and pool area supervision by:

Performing all other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Education, Athletics, and Community Service or designee.
At a minimum, the lifeguard will be evaluated annually by the Director of Swimming Pools.
