REPORTS TO: Aquatics Director

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility patrons by preventing and responding to any and all emergencies.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Recognize and responds effectively to emergencies. Thirty second scan mandatory.
• Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and reports unsafe conditions and equipment to supervisor.
• Complete appropriate records and reports.
• Attend and participates in all in-service training as a requirement of employment.
• Responsible for work hours. Must obtain a substitute when unable to work.
• Wear only issued uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
• Keep all certifications current.
• Complete 500 yards every 2 weeks
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 15 years of age

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

American Red Cross First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer

Physical Demands

Ability to reach above and below the waist

Ability to use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects

Ability to use both hands for repetitive motion

Bending and twisting of the body required

Ability to stay alert for extended periods of time (+30 minutes)

Ability to lift 50 pounds
