Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Lifeguard in Sandusky, OH. You will enforce safety rules, monitor guests, and respond to emergencies to keep the water park safe and enjoyable.

Starting rate is up to $17.00 per hour. Open availability is required; a 3-day certification can be completed on-site if not certified. Join our team and lead with care today.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• No prior lifeguard certification required, 3-day course available at Kalahari facility.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting room occupancy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening/closing procedures of water park rides and park cleanliness.
• Communicate with guests about attraction requirements and safety concerns.
• Conduct water rescues and administer first aid or CPR when needed.
• Regularly inspect pools and slides for hazards and safety risks.

Waterpark-Lifeguard

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aLifeguard.In this role, you will be standing guard and saving lives as you enforce waterpark rules to maintain a safe and fun environment.

As part of our team, you’ll embody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure that all guests feel welcome and safe and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.

Starting Rate:Up to $17.00 an hour*

*Eligibility requirements apply: Open Availability*. Base rate for Deep Guard starts at $16.00 an hour*

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with opening and closing procedures of water park rides and park cleanliness.
• Communicating with guests about attraction requirements and safety concerns.
• Conducting water rescues and administering first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Staying alert and regularly inspecting pools and slides for any hazards or safety risks.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• Not a certified Lifeguard? Not a problem! Candidates complete a 3-day certification course (Saturday – Monday) held at Kalahari Resorts facility.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment that is constantly changing based on room occupancy, group, and local business
