Lifeguard (Seasonal)

Compensation: $21.50/hour

Position Summary

Dive & Thrive is hiring certified Lifeguards for the 2025 summer season. As a Lifeguard, you will ensure a safe aquatic environment for all program participants, instructors, and guests. You will be responsible for maintaining constant surveillance, preventing incidents, and responding quickly in case of emergencies. This is a seasonal role reporting directly to the Operations Associate.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas to ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers
• Enforce all safety rules and facility guidelines consistently and professionally
• Respond to emergency situations with confidence and care, including performing rescues and administering first aid or CPR when necessary
• Conduct daily equipment and safety checks; maintain a clean and organized pool area
• Support swim instructors and program staff during lesson transitions and site operations
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required
  

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized agency (e.g., American Red Cross)
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
• Strong observational and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Reliable transportation to assigned sites across the Greater Philadelphia region
• Must be available for the full summer season (June 23–August 23, 2025)
