Job summary

Friends Select School is seeking lifeguards to oversee and ensure the safety of our pool deck in Center City Philadelphia. This is a part-time position with daytime and afternoon/evening and weekend hours available.

A combination of individuals will be hired to cover needed days/hours. Required trainings include Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid/AED certifications and PA clearances (Background Check, FBI fingerprint, PA Child Abuse Clearance).

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid/AED certifications from an approved program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately and appropriately secure the safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Trainings and Certifications:

• Successful completion of state requirements, including but not limited to the following clearances: PA State Criminal Background Check, FBI Fingerprint Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance
• Willingness to complete various online trainings, as required by the school
