Job summary

Owen J. Roberts School District in Pennsylvania is hiring a Lifeguard to provide swim lessons and ensure the safety of participants at the middle school pool.

The role reports to the Aquatic Supervisor and requires American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR & AED certification. You will work scheduled hours, submit time sheets on time, attend trainings, and respond promptly in emergencies while maintaining a professional appearance and customer service.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR & AED.
• Ability to positively interact with the general public.
• Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
• Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for the safety of the swim participants.
• Work hours as scheduled.
• Submits completed time on time.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
• Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
• Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
• All other duties as assigned and appropriate.

POSITION GOAL : Provide swim lessons/ private or group to children of all levels and abilities based on the curriculum provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

2. Starting Rate- $12.50 per hour
