Job description

We are seeking experienced, responsible, and enthusiastic lifeguards for a full-time seasonal role. As a lifeguard, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our pool patrons. This position requires attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and a dedication to maintaining a welcoming environment. Lifeguards must be prepared to respond swiftly to emergencies, keep the pool and surrounding areas clean, and perform other tasks as needed.

General Lifeguarding Duties:

• Monitor pool area to ensure the safety of all swimmers.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations consistently.
• Perform rescues and provide emergency care, including CPR, as required.
  
  

Opening and Closing Duties:

• Lay chaise lounge chairs flat.
• Hose down and/or sweep the pool deck and surrounding areas.
• Take trash to the dumpster and replace trash bags.
• Vacuum the bottom of the pool to maintain clear visibility.
• Ensure all areas are safe and the bottom of each pool is clearly visible.
• Clean and restock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Ensure bathrooms are clean, smelling fresh, and welcoming for patrons.
  
  

Other Duties:

• Assist with pool maintenance and setup of the pool area.
• Complete required daily reports on pool activities and incidents.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two seasons of prior lifeguarding experience, with references.
• Must hold a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
• CPR certification, renewed annually.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and available to work flexible hours.
